Created a State Farm 911 Service that acts as a safety net to ensure that a victims' location can always be determined. The service works by providing an onboard diagnostic device (OBD) that can be plugged into a vehicle. The device can detect a vehicle crash and notify the 24hour State Farm emergency assist team, plus those who have been designed as emergency contacts. The device is paired with IOS & Android smartphone app which can be used independently in the event someone is in an emergency but not in their vehicle. The service aims to protect both crash and non-crash victims, emergency notifications are sent even in the event that the driver is incapacitated. For lesser crashes where the victim is not incapacitated, the driver can use the app to notify those defined within the safety net.
